Tottenham Hotspur have reached out to Bournemouth to explore the possibility of signing Ghanaian forward Antoine Semenyo, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

Semenyo has been in outstanding form for the Cherries over the past two seasons, performances that recently earned him a contract extension earlier this summer. Bournemouth had already valued the 24-year-old at around £75 million before he penned his new deal, and with several key departures during the current transfer window, the club are reluctant to sanction his exit.

Spurs are keen to bolster their attacking options before the transfer window closes next week, particularly following the news that James Maddison will miss most of the season due to injury. Attempts to sign Eberechi Eze and Morgan Gibbs-White collapsed despite advanced negotiations, leaving the North London club searching for alternatives.

Speaking on his YouTube channel, Romano confirmed that Tottenham have held internal discussions about Semenyo in recent days.
“In the last 24/48 hours, Tottenham made calls to understand situations around several players, including Lucas Paquetá at West Ham. Another name mentioned internally was Antoine Semenyo at Bournemouth. Decisions will be made very soon, and Tottenham remain optimistic about securing reinforcements,” Romano explained.

Despite Tottenham’s interest, a deal for Semenyo appears unlikely this late in the market. Bournemouth have already lost Milos Kerkez, Dean Huijsen, and Ilya Zabarnyi during the summer, and letting go of one of their most influential attackers would leave their squad significantly weakened.
