Tottenham Hotspur forward Brennan Johnson has heaped praise on Ghanaian midfielder Mohammed Kudus for his immediate impact at the club.
Kudus, who joined Spurs from West Ham United earlier this summer, has impressed during the pre-season campaign, drawing admiration from both teammates and fans.
“I’ve been really impressed with him since he came in. Really nice guy as well,” Johnson told football reporter Alasdair Gold.
He acknowledged that Tottenham struggled last season due to squad depth, saying, “There were quite a few games where I don’t think we even had 11 first-team players.”
With the club returning to the Champions League, Johnson stressed the importance of strengthening the squad:
“Getting as much quality as we can is important. It’s what we need because we want to go far in all competitions.”
Johnson believes Kudus’ arrival adds needed creativity and depth:
“It wasn’t just a one-off thing. We want to be in the Champions League every year. We need the quality and depth in the squad. We are getting there.”
The former Ajax playmaker, who had a strong season at West Ham, is expected to play a key role in Tottenham’s 2025/26 campaign. Fans are excited to see how the Black Stars talisman will shine under the bright lights of North London.
