Everton have shown interest in Leicester City and Ghanaian forward Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, according to Sky Sports’ Vinny O’Connor.
The 21-year-old recently returned from a long ACL injury through which he missed a major part of the 2024-25 season which Leicester City was relegated.
Vinny O’Connor’s report for Sky Sports
“Everton are interested in Leicester winger Abdul Fatawu.
“He is one of the options they are looking at in that position.
“Everton have failed with multiple bids for Southampton winger Tyler Dibling this summer.
“They are reluctant to meet Saints’ valuation of the 19-year-old. They are asking for upwards of £45m for him.
“Fatawu has four years left on his contract at Leicester.
“The Ghana international picked up the knee injury while representing his country in an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Angola in November.
The 21-year-old looked sharper when Leicester City defeated Fiorentina 2-0 in the pre-season, where he dazzled and reminded everyone of his potential.
The former Steadfast and Dreams FC winger secured a permanent deal from Portuguese side Sporting Lisbon ahead of the 2024-25 season after impressing on loan in the 2023-24 Championship Season, where the Foxes secured promotion to the Premier League.
David Moyes has complained bitterly about how poor his squad is and will be happy to add the Ghanaian to his attack.
