Wydad Club Athletic means business. The Moroccan giants at all costs want to return to their best, having missed the Moroccan Botola title in the last two seasons.
The club already have stars like the veteran Nordin Amrabat, Hakim Ziyech, Thembinkosi Lorch, Stephane Aziz Ki and has now added Tunisian-French international Wissam Ben Yedder to their attack.
Born in Sarcelles, Val-d’Oise, France, to Tunisian parents, the 35-year-old has represented the France Futsal team and the French U-21. Also, he has won 19 caps for the French national team, having scored two goals.
The Monaco second all-time goal scorer left Turkish side Sakayaspor in 2025 and has moved to North Africa to continue his career.
Ben Yedder has played for Toulouse, Sevilla, Monaco in Europe, Sepahan in Asia and will have a taste of African football.
Wydad are in the CAF Confederation Cup, and with the addition of Ben Yedder, the Red Devils will expect to win the trophy. The club sit on top of the Moroccan Botola after round 8 and lead second place FAR Rabat by two points.
