FC Basel has set its sights on Ghanaian midfielder Isaac Pappoe following his impressive performance with FC Aarau in the Challenge League.
The 20-year-old talent has attracted interest from the Swiss Super League club, raising the prospect of him donning the FC Basel jersey soon.
Pappoe, who spent the season on loan at FC Aarau, significantly contributed to their campaign with one goal and five assists in his 25 appearances.
While Pappoe’s contract is set to expire in June, FC Aarau holds an option to secure his services permanently from his parent club, FC Ashdod of Israel.
However, his future may lie in the Swiss Super League, as both FC Basel and Servette Geneva are reportedly vying for his signature.
Should he join FC Basel, Pappoe would be reunited with fellow Ghanaian teammates Jonas Adjetey and Emmanuel Essiam, further bolstering the club’s Ghanaian contingent.
