Philip Flamini, the suspended winger of Karela United, has been granted bail by the Nkroful District Court, presided over by Her Worship Awo Amissah French. The bail reportedly includes three sureties.
Flamini faced three charges, including sexual assault and defiling a 13-year-old school girl.
The alleged incident took place on Saturday, April 29, at the team’s club house in Edwakpole, a suburb of Aiyinase in the Ellembelle District of the Western Region. The 24-year-old Ghana Premier League player was remanded for one week following the accusation.
Flamini has been in police custody since April 29, 2023.
According to reports monitored by Domesticsportsgh.com, the accused, Philip Flamini, is scheduled to appear before the court again on Monday, May 15, 2023.
In the meantime, the club has issued a statement announcing the immediate suspension of Philip Flamini, pending the conclusion of the ongoing police investigation into the allegations.
