Ghanaian center-back Alexander Djiku has attracted interest from Turkish Super Lig club Beşiktaş J.K, who have made an official offer to secure his services, according to reports in French media.
The 28-year-old defender became a free agent after his contract with French Ligue 1 side RC Strasbourg Alsace expired in June.
Several European clubs, including Lille, Nottingham Forest, and Mainz O5, have been linked with a potential move for Djiku during the ongoing transfer window.
However, recent reports indicate that Beşiktaş J.K has taken the lead in the pursuit of Djiku by submitting an official bid to sign him this summer.
Despite the interest from Beşiktaş J.K, RC Strasbourg Alsace is determined to retain their captain, especially with the recent investment by BlueCo, the owners of Chelsea Football Club. This financial backing could potentially influence Djiku to remain at the Stade de la Meinau for the upcoming season.
Since joining RC Strasbourg Alsace from SM Caen in 2019, Djiku has made more than 120 appearances for the club. He has also represented the Ghana national team, earning 20 caps at the senior level with the Black Stars.
