Referees Daniel Nii Laryea and Kwasi Brobbey Acheampong from Ghana have been named for the 2023 CHAN competition that will take place in Algeria next month.
The list of referees who have been chosen for the competition was released by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) on Wednesday.
There are 19 centre referees, 21 assistant referees, and 12 video assistant referees on the list, which was released by the continent’s football governing body.
The sole female centre referee is Vincentia Amedome of Togo, and there are two female assistant referees, one each from Zambia and Cameroon.
Laryea will serve as a Video Assistance Referee, and Brobbey is mentioned among the assistant referees chosen for the competition.
The seventh iteration of the twice-a-year association football competition for players who reside at home will get underway on January 13, 2023, and end on February 4, 2023.
