Two Ghanaian referees selected for WAFU B U20 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers

Two Ghanaian referees have been selected to officiate at the TotalEnergies U20 Africa Cup of Nations WAFU B Qualifiers, which kick start on October 17, 2024, in Lome, Togo.

FIFA Referee Julian Nii Akwa Nunoo (Centre) and Roland Nii Addy (Assistant Referee) are part of a combined 16 officials (8 Referees) and (8 Assistants) selected for the sub-regional championship.

The championship will feature host Togo, Ghana, Benin and Niger in Group A, while Nigeria,  Burkina Faso and Ivory Coast will square off in Group B.

Ghana U20 coach Desmond Offei and his charges will kick off their campaign against Benin on the opening day of the qualifiers at the Stade de Kegue on Thursday, October 17 2024.

The second group game takes place three days later at the Stade Municipal Stadium where the team will take on Niger on Sunday, October 20.

The last group game in the qualifying campaign will be against hosts Togo on Wednesday, October 23, 2024. The Black Satellites will be aiming at picking one of the spots in the 2025 U-20 Africa Cup of Nations.

The WAFU Zone B U-20 Cup of Nations is scheduled from October 17 – 31, 2024.
