UK-based manufacturing company Umbro has ended their contract with Ghana Premier League giant Accra Hearts of Oak SC, Sportsworldghana.com can confirm.
The company which had a branch in South Africa supplying the Phobians with training kits and replicas have ended their contract with the Ghanaian club.
Umbro penned a three year deal with the Ghana Premier League giant three years ago and has refused to extend the contract with the club at the end of the 2022-23 season.
Hearts of Oak won two MTN FA CUP trophies during the period and marketed the Umbro brand with pride across the country.
The, hHearts of Oak SC, during the period also won one Ghana Premier League title, which was their first in 12 years and also beat their rivals Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC to win the 2023 President’s Cup.
This season, before the Phobians Kickstart their campaign at the Aliu Mahama Stadium in Tamale against Real Tamale United FC, the Phobians have unveiled their jersey without the Umbro crest confirming the end of the contract between the two parties.
