Vision FC head coach Nana Kweku Agyemang expressed his frustration after his side fell 1-0 to Hearts of Oak in the Ghana Premier League, a defeat that came from a lapse in defensive execution rather than a lack of effort.
The solitary goal arrived in the 41st minute when Mawuli Wayo headed in from a far-post delivery, undoing a week of meticulous preparation focused on defending set-pieces. Agyemang revealed that his players had specifically drilled to neutralize such threats, making the concession particularly disappointing.
“You realized that we conceded the goal from the far post. The header came from the far post before the second header connected into the goal,” he explained.
“So, I mean, it’s very, very disappointing, especially if it’s something that you worked on the whole week. You come into the game and the boys are not able to do it. It’s very, very disappointing.”
The loss leaves Vision FC 11th in the league standings with 14 points from three wins, five draws, and four defeats. While it is their first loss in five matches, the team had previously struggled to convert draws into victories, with three stalemates in their last five games.
