Emmanuel Boateng came off the bench to score his first goal of the season for Rio Ave on Sunday.
The Ghanaian’s first goal was assisted by Abdul Aziz Yakubu, who would then go on to be on the scoresheet himself.
Despite the two Ghanaian forwards scoring, it was not enough to earn Rio Ave a point as they succumbed to defeat.
The 14th-placed team suffered a 3-2 defeat at home, their third of thee season after six games played in the league.

Boateng re-joined the club this summer after ending his time in the Chinese Super League.
