Ghanaian defnder Maxwell Woledzi was the hero for Nashville SC, scoring the late winner in their 1-0 win over New York Red Bulls.
Woledzi scored two minutes into second-half stoppage time and MLS-leading Nashville SC pulled out a 1-0 victory over the New York Red Bulls on Wednesday night.
The Ghanaian centre-back rose highest to head home from a Cristian Espinoza free-kick and secure all three points for Nashville.
Meanwhile, Woledzi’s compatriot Abdul Shakur Mohammed saw 62 minutes and was replaced by Espinoza who delivered the assist for the winner.
For New York Red Bulls, Ghanaian teammates Ronald Donkor and Mohammed Sofo also featured for the home side. Donkor started while Sofo came off the bench for Red Bulls.
