Ghanaian striker Prince Ampem was on target for the third time for HNK Rijeka in their away loss to NK Hrvatski Dragovoljac in Croatian 1. HNL over the weekend.
Ampem was on the score sheet as his side suffered a 2-1 defeat to Dragovoljac at Stadion NSC Stjepan Spajic.
The home team scored first in the 23rd minute through Karlo Peric. He doubled his lead five minutes after the break.
The 23-year-old attacker replaced Ghanaian forward Issah Abass in the 46th minute.
Rijeka’s consolation goal came in the 74th minute from Prince Ampem as they fell from first to third place after losing to the bottom-placed club. The attacker took one, two touches and unleashed a wonderful shot into the net.
Prince Ampem, a former WAFA SC player has so far netted three goals and contributed five assists in 24 games for Rijeka in Croatia’s top division.
