French Ligue 1 outfit Olympique Lyonnais has officially announced the acquisition of Ghanaian winger, Ernest Nuamah.
The 19-year-old talent arrives at Lyon from the Danish club FC Nordsjaelland, following a standout season with them. While the club’s announcement video on their social media platform on Wednesday night did not disclose the length of Nuamah’s contract, the details of the transfer are not as straightforward as they may appear on the surface.
FC Nordsjaelland, the selling club, previously confirmed the specifics of the transfer. The Danish Superliga club clarified that the 19-year-old Black Stars forward has been loaned directly to Olympique Lyonnais after initially completing a permanent move to the Belgium Jupiler Pro League side, RWD Molenbeek.
It’s worth noting that Eagle Football, the entity that owns Olympique Lyonnais, also has ownership of the newly-promoted Belgium top-flight club, RWD Molenbeek. FC Nordsjaelland conveyed this information in a statement on their website as part of their farewell message to the dynamic young talent.
