Dutch-born Ghanaian striker Brian Brobbey had a great first game back in the Eredivisie after scoring a brace in Ajax’s 3:0 win over FC Utrecht on Sunday afternoon.
Brobbey who was playing his first game for Ajax after rejoining them on loan from RB Leipzig, doubled Ajax’s lead in the 19th minute-mark of the game after Anthony had opened the lead in the fifth minute.
Brian Brobbey was completely at his quality best as he hit the back of the net for the second time after 45+3 to seal an emphatic 3:0 victory for Ajax Amsterdam.
The 19-year-old left Amsterdam for Germany on a free transfer in the summer but failed to impress in the Bundesliga.
Brobbey has made 19 appearances for Ajax’s first team, scoring six times. He has already begun training in Amsterdam to make sure he is ready for the Eredivisie’s return in January.
Brobbey’s return provides competition for Sebastien Haller, who will play at the African Cup of Nations with Ivory Coast.
