Black Stars captain Andre Ayew was on target for Le Havre in the French Ligue 1 on Sunday afternoon at Clermont Foot 63 FC which was his 50th goal in the French Top-flight.
Ayew’s third league goal was not enough to prevent his team from succumbing to a 2-1 defeat on the road.
Muhammad Cham Saracevic took just 12 minutes to score the opening goal of the match to put the hosts 1-0 up after a nice build up play.
On the 45th minute, Ayew grabbed the equalizer to restore parity with a very good goal to make it 1-1 on the stroke of half time.
Deep into the additional time period of the first 45 minutes, Clermont Foot were awarded a spot kick which was perfectly converted by Saracevic to make it 2-1 at full time.The Ghanaian international has three goals to his name in the French Ligue 1
