Ghanaian forward Caleb Ekuban opened his goal account for Genoa FC in the Italy Serie A on Sunday afternoon against Venezia Calcio.
The former Trabzonspor hitman has been waiting for a very long time to get his name on the score sheet for the first time for the Blue and Reds outfit since joining in the summer.
Ekuban had gone 21 games in the ongoing 2021-22 Italian Serie A without a goal but finally broke his goal duck against the newly promoted team on Sunday in his 22nd attempts.
The 27-year-old versatile attacker scored an equalizer for the away team after 29 minutes with a beautiful left-footed shot into the bottom left corner to break his goal drought.
Ekuban has two assists and a goal in 22 matches in Genoa colours this campaign in Italy.
