Asante Kotoko succumbed in the week eight game to Real Tamale United FC on Saturday 19h November, 2022 evening at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium.
The Pride of the North came from behind to pick up a famous win over the Ghana Premier League defending champions at home.
Kotoko were the best team in the opening minutes of the match and put a lot of pressure on the hosts in the first quarter of the match.
Georges Mfegue scored the first goal of the match to put the visitors 1-0 up two minutes to the end of the of the opening first 45 minutes of the match.
Issah Kuka on the 63rd minute mark drew the home team level with a beautiful goal to make it 1-1.
Two minutes later, Black Galaxies midfielder David Abagna Sandan scored the second goal for the home team as they turned things around to win the game 2-1.
Kotoko have now lost two matches on the round in four matches this season and are on 14 points whiles Real Tamale United FC are on 11 points.
