The West Ham United target delivered a sweet assist during Ajax’s 2-2 draw against Excelsior on Saturday afternoon at the Van Donge & De Roo Stadium.
Kudus was a part of the starting lineup and remained on the pitch for the entire 90 minutes, while Dutch-born Ghanaian striker Brian Brobbey also began the match and played the full duration.
Ajax seized the lead in the 25th minute when Brian Brobbey’s right-footed shot from the center of the box found the bottom right corner of the net. Carlos Forbs provided the assist for Brobbey’s goal.
Despite finding the back of the net in the 41st minute, Brian Brobbey’s goal was disallowed due to an offside decision.
Excelsior managed to level the score just before half-time, as Siebe Horemans struck a right-footed shot into the bottom right corner of the net from the center of the box. The goal was granted after a VAR review.
Nikolas Agrafiotis extended Excelsior’s advantage in the 48th minute, with Lazaros Lamprou providing the assist for Agrafiotis’ goal.
Ajax avoided defeat as Davy Klaassen netted in the 72nd minute, with Mohammed Kudus contributing the assist for Klaassen’s goal.
Ajax’s upcoming league match will see them face Fortuna Sittard.
