Vision FC head coach Nana Kwaku Agyemang has criticised his side’s poor intensity and lack of commitment following their 2-0 defeat to Heart of Lions in Matchday 28 of the Ghana Premier League.
The “Eewo Family” were beaten at the Kpando Stadium on Sunday, with Heart of Lions producing a dominant first-half display to secure all three points.
The hosts made a strong start and took the lead in the 11th minute through Kelvin Asenso before Michael Ephson added a second after a well-worked team move, giving Lions a comfortable advantage at the break.
Despite a more improved showing from Vision FC in the second half, the damage had already been done, as Heart of Lions managed the game effectively to seal victory.
Speaking after the game, Agyemang expressed disappointment in his team’s slow start and overall attitude in the opening period.
“I think in the first half we lacked commitment and didn’t press enough. There was a bit of a lackadaisical attitude among the players,” he said.
He also explained that tactical changes improved his side after the break, but the early deficit proved too costly.
“In the second half, we made three quick substitutions to change the dynamics of the game. We improved and played much better, but Heart of Lions were already on top and ultimately secured the points,” he added.
The win sees Heart of Lions climb to 10th place in the standings, while Vision FC drop to 13th with 35 points, increasing pressure as the season enters its final stretch.
