Ghana legend Samuel Opoku Nti has been named as a member of the Technical Study Group ahead of the WAFU Zone B U-20 Championship Group B match between Nigeria and Burkina Faso on Friday October 18, 2024.

The Asante Kotoko icon is part of the group that will select the best performers while analysing players’ contribution on the field at the sub-regional championship being hosted by Togo.

Nigeria’s Flying Eagles, who won the last edition of the competition staged in Niamey, the capital of Niger Republic, will take on their counterparts from Burkina Faso on Friday at the Stade de Kegue in Lome, Togo.

In addition to analyzing actions on the field, the Technical Study Group looks at the trends as well as their impact on coach training and talent development. At the end of each match, a report will be done by the group including collective and individual statistics, in possession and out of possession. The Technical Study Group is also responsible for selecting the best performers.

The Technical Study Group’s mission is to analyze players and teams, as well as disseminate technical information and knowledge.
