The Black Starlets of Ghana are set to face Nigeria’s Golden Eaglets on Tuesday, May 28, in a contest for third place at the WAFU Zone B U17 Championship.
Both teams, representing two of West Africa’s fiercest footballing rivals, were defeated in their semi-final matches, thus missing the opportunity to compete in the finals.
However, the tournament offers one last chance for redemption with the third-place playoff.
The eagerly awaited match will take place at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium.
On Monday, the Black Starlets concluded their preparations with a final training session.
Securing third place is crucial for the Starlets as they aim to make amends with their home supporters for not reaching the finals and vying for the championship title.
