The Ghana Football Association executive committee member, Frederick Acheampong, affectionately called Achee says the Black Stars wanted to win the World Cup trophy.
He says they expected the senior national team to do better at the 2022 FIFA World Cup tournament in Qatar but things didn’t go their way.
According to him, they were made to believe that Otto Addo was the right option to lead the team for the Mundial.
“We all admit that the team did not do well at the World Cup before you say anything and so I agree with the statement by the Ghana Football Association [GFA],” the AshantiGold SC CEO said on Kessben FM.
“We all wanted to win the trophy but the expectation was that we wanted to do better compared to the last World Cup but the coach [Otto Addo]was a disappointment.
“Some of us had believed in him but we did not see what we were told. What we were told never manifest,” he added.
