Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Frederick Asare has expressed strong confidence ahead of their highly anticipated match against Nsoatreman FC, assuring fans that victory is within reach.
The outstanding Ghana Premier League fixture is set to take place on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at the Obuasi Len Clay Sports Stadium.
In a pre-match interview with the club’s media, Asare emphasized the importance of the game, stating, “Ahead of this game, we know there is much expected from us. As it is said, ‘to whom much is given, much is expected.’ The fans are expecting a lot from us, and we are also expecting a lot from ourselves. So going into this match, it’s a must-win game. We are very determined, very focused, and we have to do this for them. We are not playing at Baba Yara; we are playing in Obuasi, and our cherished supporters come all the way from their places, some from Takoradi, to watch us. We can’t afford to disappoint them once again, so we are assuring them of victory.”
Nsoatreman FC enters this match with mixed results in the league, having played only two matches thus far.
They secured a 2-0 victory over Young Apostles but faced a setback with a 3-1 defeat to Accra Lions.
