Asante Kotoko’s interim head coach, Abdulai Gazale, expressed his confidence in the team’s ability to clinch the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League title.
Following their 3-1 victory over Kotoku Royals, Gazale shared his optimistic outlook in a post-match interview on Monday afternoon.
With the win, Asante Kotoko has risen to the fourth position on the league table, trailing the league leaders by just six points.
Gazale emphasized that their aim is to win all three remaining matches in the league, hoping that the teams above them will drop points.
“We are definitely in contention for the league title. If we can secure the remaining nine points and one of the top teams falters, we still have a chance to win the league,” the coach affirmed.
Looking ahead, Asante Kotoko’s next challenge will be against Karela United in Week 32 of the Ghana Premier League, as they continue their pursuit of the coveted title.
