Morocco head coach Vahid Halilhodzic insists they are the best among the teams in Group C of the 2021 AFCON.
The Bosnian gaffer believes Ghana, Gabon and Comoros Island are below the pedigree of the Atlas Lions and they just need to go on with their preparations and sail through.
“We have to prepare well to face the three teams in the group: Ghana, Gabon and Comoros. Although Morocco are favorites to reach the second round, you have to prepare well and play with a lot of ambition and determination to go as far as possible, ”he told CAF website
“There is a great desire among the players of the national team to go as far as possible during this CAN. ” Halilhodzic added.
The Atlas Lions will lock horns with the Black Stars at the Amadou Ahidjo Stadium on Monday January 10 in their first game of the tournament.
