During the unveiling of Nsoatreman FC’s newly appointed coach, Maxwell Konadu, and general manager, Eric Alagidede, owner and bankroller Ignatius Baffour Awuah expressed his club’s determination to make a significant impact in Ghana football.
At the ceremony held on Sunday, July 23, 2023, Baffour Awuah, who is also the Member of Parliament for Sunyani West Constituency, emphasized that Nsoatreman FC had beaten off competition from giants such as Kotoko and Hearts of Oak, and even clubs from South Africa and Uganda, to secure the services of Maxwell Konadu.
The fact that Konadu chose Nsoatreman FC over these well-established clubs serves as evidence that they are not minnows in Ghana football. Baffour Awuah made it clear that his club has big ambitions and aims to compete at the highest level, leaving a lasting impact on Ghana football.
He stated, “Had it being money, Hearts of Oak and Kotoko could have snap him up. Hearts of Oak made contact but he decided to join us”
“Interestingly, it wasn’t only the two glamorous clubs that were yearning for his signature, there were clubs also from South Africa and Uganda who wanted him but we beat off competition to secure his services. We want to tell Ghanaians we have come to stay and that, we are not minnows in Ghana football, we are here to compete and leave a mark” he said.
With a strong resolve and ambition, Nsoatreman FC is determined to make a significant mark in Ghana football and establish themselves as a force to be reckoned with in the country’s football landscape.
