Ghanaian young forward Abdul Aziz Yakubu registered his sixth goal of the season in Portugal on Saturday, securing a goal for his team Rio Ave.

The game, which ended in a 1-1 draw, saw Yakubu shine brightly.

Taking to the field for Rio Ave in Round 31, Yakubu’s performance was nothing short of stellar. With just four minutes into the game, he found the back of the net with a composed finish, courtesy of a well-timed pass from teammate Umaro Embalo.

However, despite Yakubu’s early goal, Rio Ave couldn’t maintain their lead as FC Vizela fought back valiantly. In the 67th minute, Samuel Essende leveled the score for Vizela, setting the stage for a tense second half.

Both teams battled fiercely, creating numerous opportunities, but neither could break the deadlock. As the final whistle blew, the score remained tied, with each team earning a point.

Yakubu’s goal showcased his talent, bringing his tally to six goals and one assist in 16 league appearances for Rio Ave. His performance continues to highlight his importance to the team and his growing influence in the league.
