Ghana international Tariqe Fosu has revealed the motivation for Rotherham United’s win over West Bromwich Albion was the positivity within the team.
The Ghanaian scored in the 3-1 victory on Friday afternoon as his side moved up the Championship table with a victory over the 10th-placed team.
The goal was also Tariqe’s first of the 2022/23 season, having already grabbed three assists in 33 appearances this campaign.
Speaking in the post-match interview, the 27-year-old said: “We have been positive the whole of this week in training. We expected the game to be how it was, and backed ourselves to win this game at home, especially with the fans behind us.”
“It wasn’t easy but it has come true.”
The win means Rotherham are now 18th on the league table after playing 39 games and are also three points above the relegation zone.
