Aduana Stars demonstrated their resilience and determination with a crucial 1-0 triumph over Legon Cities in the Ghana Premier League’s matchday 20 clash, hosted at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park on Sunday.
In a match characterized by intense competition, the home team, affectionately known as the “Fire Boys,” ignited their fervor, delivering a spirited performance that ultimately earned them the coveted three points.
The decisive moment arrived in the 11th minute when Bright Adjei, the seasoned forward for Aduana Stars, showcased his expertise by netting the solitary goal of the game. Adjei’s clinical finish early in the match set the stage for Aduana Stars’ dominance throughout the encounter.

Reflecting on the team’s performance, coach Acheampong expressed satisfaction with the outcome, acknowledging that while the team may not have played their typical style of football, securing the three points was paramount.
“Today we didn’t play our normal game we tried to stabilize the game a little but still we didn’t play our normal game but I am happy we got the three points,” coach Acheampong said after the game.
With this crucial win, Aduana Stars solidified their position on the Ghana Premier League table, currently occupying second place with 33 points.
Meanwhile, Legon Cities find themselves in 12th position with 25 points, highlighting the significance of Aduana Stars’ triumph in the context of the league standings.
