Black Stars striker Felix Afena-Gyan is optimistic of Ghana’s AFCON return despite a poor start to qualifiers for the 2027 edition.
The Black Stars suffered a 2-0 defeat to Ivory Coast in Bouake on Thursday, and also loss 2-4 to the Gambia in their next match.
Having missed the last edition in Morocco, there is pressure on the former African champions who have won only one game in 2026.
Although, the team has been heavily criticised for the performance in Ivory Coast, the former AS Roma players believes the Black Stars will turn thing around in their remaining games.
“We failed you, and we share your disappointment. But this isn’t the end of our journey. We’ll learn, rise again, and keep fighting to make Ghana proud” he posted on his (X) page.
