Super Eagles interim Technical Adviser, Augustine Eguavoen, says his outfit has a very good technical combination to face Ghana’s Black Stars later this month in the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers play-offs.
Ahead of the 2022 Qatar FIFA World Cup playoff between the two West African giants, Augustine Eguavoen has described the combination of former national team players on the technical team of the Super Eagles as a “good” one.
He states that with such expertise on board, Nigeria cannot expect nothing less but victory against the Black Stars of Ghana.
“They (Nigerians) don’t expect anything less, because like a final game at the tournament. With the expertise of Amuneke, Yobo and the other guys and of course myself, the combination is a very good combination”, Eguavoen told ghanasportspage.com.
Ghana will host Nigeria in the first leg of the World Cup playoff at the Cape Coast sport stadium on Friday March 25, before traveling to Abuja for the reverse fixture on Tuesday, March 29.
Speaking on the ability of the technical team, Eguavoen pledged that they will bring all their expertise together to ensure Nigeria qualifies to the World Cup finals ahead of Ghana.
“We will try to bring what we know best how to do and discuss and watch the game together, and then come up with a strategy and go and play”, he stated.
