Martin Koopman, the manager of Hearts of Oak, has expressed his frustration with the team’s attackers’ performance in the current league season.
This frustration follows Hearts of Oak’s goalless draw against Dreams FC in the fourth week of the Ghana Premier League, which took place at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.
In his post-match statement, Koopman pointed out that the team is not achieving the expected results due to the subpar performances of the attackers.
The Dutch coach believes that Hearts of Oak is lacking a prolific goal-scorer, despite having players like Kashala Ramos Wanet and others in the attacking lineup.
“We did a very good job but I tell you we don’t have a striker and Issah [Kuka] has left for abroad and we have no striker and I tell them every time. We missed a striker”, Koopman told StarTimes.
On why he substituted Kashala Ramos, Koopman said “Do you think Kashala was good. No.
“He was not good playing and the next one who is going in is Hamza Issah. A young player with a lot of talent and he fights, so Hamza Issah is the next option and that is why”, he added.
