Bibiani Gold Stars goalkeeper Emmanuel Kobi says the team is determined to turn around its difficult start to the Ghana Premier League season when they face Vision FC on Saturday.
Gold Stars have endured a challenging opening four matches, with their latest setback coming in a 2-0 defeat to Port City at Duns Park in Bibiani, a game that also saw defender Michael Abina receive a red card.
Despite the disappointing results, Kobi insists the players remain focused and motivated to fight back.
“If you look at our season, we are yet to have a good start. The defeat against Port City was very painful, but we have not given up.”
The goalkeeper added that the team has stepped up preparations ahead of their next fixture and believes the players are ready to give their best.
“We are preparing very hard. From yesterday to today, the training we are doing, if you look at the intensity, everybody is ready and willing to give their best against Vision.”
Gold Stars currently sit 16th on the Ghana Premier League table with three points from four matches and will be hoping to secure a positive result to revive their campaign.
They will face Vision FC at the Nii Adjei Kraku Sports Complex on Saturday, with kick-off scheduled for 15:00 GMT.
