Former Black Stars head coach James Kwesi Appiah has urged Ghanaians to support the team ahead of their world cup campaign.
Ghana have been drawn in Group H with Portugal, Uruguay and South Korea.
Appiah led the team in 2014 where they crashed out of the group stages.
“Is not easy at the World Cup stage. It is very difficult and we have to give our support and prayers to the team so that they can perform and make Ghana proud. At the moment, what I can say is that our support is very important, especially for those who will be traveling with the team,” he told Ghanasportspage.com.
Whether good or bad they should continue to support the team and it can encourage the players to perform. At the end of the day, it is Ghana. We are all Ghanaians. You will feel proud as a Ghanaian when the team performs. We will support them with prayers.”
