Asante Kotoko goalkeeper Frederick Asare has called on his teammates to give their all in the final stretch of the Ghana Premier League season, urging them to win every remaining match to secure the 2024/25 title.
The Porcupine Warriors currently sit at the top of the league standings with 46 points after 25 matches. With the title race heating up, Asare insists that consistency and determination will be key to clinching the trophy.
In an interview with Wontumi FM ahead of their crucial clash with Bechem United, the shot-stopper stressed the importance of finishing strong.
“Preparations have been very good,” Asare said. “When we went away, we wanted the win but couldn’t get it. If we truly want to win the league, we have to win all our remaining matches.”
Touching on the upcoming fixture, he added: “For the game against Bechem United, we are really prepared. Mentally and physically, I think we’re in the right shape to win.”
Kotoko host Bechem United at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday, with kickoff set for 3 p.m. A victory will further boost their chances of lifting the league title for the first time since the 2021/22 season.
