Naa Amanoa, manager for Accra Hearts of Oak striker Kofi Kordzi, has said that there are not plans for the player to terminate his contract with the Ghana Premier League Champions.
Despite being the club’s top scorer with seven goals so far this season, Kofi Kordzi has recently endured difficult times after being relegated to the bench by head coach Samuel Boadu.
The striker played the last ten minutes of Hearts of Oak’s Ghana Premier League week seven outstanding fixture against rivals Asante Kotoko and has also been dropped from the team’s squad for the 2022 President’s Cup on Friday.
“We haven’t thought about any contract termination with Hearts of Oak but what I can say is that Kofi Kordzi isn’t happy for not being used by the coach in recent games. He really wants to play for the club,”Amanoa told Oyerepa FM.
“Personally I feel it’s demeaning that a club’s top scorer is only allowed to play only five or ten minutes in a big game against Asante Kotoko. I think sometime the issue is also from the technical side,”
“The coach knows why he’s not allowing him (Kordzi) to play recently but what I know is that he has been training with the team. I can exclusively tell you that he trained with the team on Monday and Tuesday.
