Ibrahim Tanko, the head coach of the Black Meteors, has urged the GFA to give the team the needed support as they prepare for their U-23 AFCON qualifiers match against Mozambique.
In the 2019 edition, the Meteors finished 4th, narrowly missing out on the Olympics in Tokyo.
The team aims to qualify for the next edition and Tanko has asked for the needed support.
“When we started the last time, we had a lot of problems because of the Normalisation but I think now, we have an FA in place and we hope that we will get all the support we need so that we will also give our best to qualify the team to the Olympics,” Tanko stated on GFA website.
The first leg is scheduled for October 20-23 in Mozambique with the second leg fixed for October 28-30 2022 at the Cape Coast stadium.
