Legon Cities defender Frank Akoto remains optimistic about his team’s prospects in their upcoming match against Medeama SC, following their 2-1 defeat to Bibiani Gold Stars in the Ghana Premier League season opener.
Despite the loss, which occurred on Sunday, Akoto expressed confidence in his team’s performance, describing the result as unfortunate but not reflective of their effort.
He emphasized that Legon Cities played well and that the team, though comprising many new players, fought hard.
“It’s not a bad performance at all. We lost but we gave a good fight. Most of the players are very new but we keep talking to them to share our experiences. Akoto said in a post-match interview.
Looking ahead to their next fixture, which will be played at home, Akoto assured fans that Legon Cities will go all out to secure the points against Medeama SC.
“Next game, is a home match, we will go all out & fight for the points,” Legon Cities defender Frank Akoto said.
