Ghana Football Association Capo Kurt Okraku has laughed off numerous calls demanding him to step down following Ghana’s catastrophic display at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations, saying ‘we should get serious’ and calls for him to quit is not even up for “consideration”.

The DreamsFC owner has come under immense pressure after the Black Stars disasteerous performance in the history of the African Cup of Nations tournament.

Some of the football loving fans in Ghana including a section of journalists are asking for his resignation but he has laughed the talks and insists he will remain in charge.

“We are in a very serious enterprise. We should get serious. The call to resign is not even up for consideration. There are critical things we need to look at,” he told Asempa FM on Wednesday.

The four-time African champions exited the group stage for the first time since 2006 after a disastrous AFCON campaign.

The Black Stars cemented their bottom-ranked status in the group after losing 3-2 to tiny debutants Comoros in Doula on Tuesday night.

The defeat has sparked a wave of anger and controversy in the West African nation with widespread calls for the sacking of Milovan Rajevac and massive reforms.

The Serb was the man to lead the Black Stars to the final in 2010 and the World Cup quarter-finals that same year.
