Former Asante Kotoko Communications Director Sarfo Duku has commended the club’s new Board of Directors for taking the bold decision to part ways with four players.
Duku believes the move is one that should have been made during the previous season, arguing that the club lacked the courage to take such difficult decisions at the time.
The Porcupine Warriors, according to our checks, have terminated the contracts of striker Kwame Poku, winger Elvis Kyei Baffour, left-back Francis Acquah, and goalkeeper Benjamin Twum.
“I commend the Kotoko board for sacking the four players. This is something we should have done last season, but we were not bold to take such a decision,” Duku said on Luv FM.
His comments come as the new Kotoko administration seeks to reshape the playing squad and create a stronger foundation ahead of the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League campaign.
Duku’s backing highlights the importance of decisive management as the Porcupine Warriors look to rebuild and compete for major honours under newly appointed head coach Eric Tinkler.
