Ghana’s Mohammed Kudus praised West Ham’s execution of the coach’s game plan in their thrilling comeback victory against Backa Topola in the UEFA Europa League.
Kudus played a pivotal role in the match, contributing to both the equalizing own goal and scoring the winning strike, while Tomas Soucek added a third goal at London Stadium on Thursday night.
At 23 years old, Kudus provided valuable insights into the team’s strategic approach. He lauded the squad’s determination and highlighted their commitment to the coach’s instructions, which ultimately led to their impressive comeback.
“We wanted the goals in the first half so that we can control the game but we didn’t have any,” Kudus said.
“We went down but the winning mentality from the guys was good. We kept doing what the coach taught us and the results came afterward.”
This match marked Mohammed Kudus’ third appearance for West Ham United and his first start after making substitute appearances in the Premier League.
