Arsenal star Thomas Partey says the playing body accepts the responsibility for the Black Stars’ inability to make it to the next stage of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
The Ghana midfielder, however, adds that: “With the support of God we will come back stronger,”
The Black Stars were knocked out of the group stage after losing to Uruguay in their last group game on Friday, December 2, having won one and lost the other games in Group H.
Partey, who featured in all Ghana’s three group stage games but failed to replicate his fine form at club side, took to social media to comment on the Black Stars’ exit.
“It was our biggest wish to give Ghanaians something to cheer about but unfortunately it didn’t go as we wanted.
“I want to say a huge thank you for the unconditional support from home and across the world.
“With the support of God we will come back stronger.” He wrote on Twitter.
