Asante Kotoko assistant coach, David Ocloo, remains optimistic about his team’s prospects despite their recent defeat to Karela United in the Ghana Premier League match week 20 clash.
The Porcupine Warriors suffered a narrow 1-0 loss to Karela United, with Ibrahim Giyasi scoring the only goal of the game at the Naa Sheriga Sports Complex in Nalerigu.
Reflecting on the defeat, Ocloo expressed confidence in his team’s ability to bounce back in subsequent games.
“I’m not worried [about the defeat]; there is a game. There are more to come,” Ocloo told StarTimes.
“So we just have to go, work hard, be determined and more focused and play according to our system and the structure and I know we will come good.”
Despite the setback, Asante Kotoko remains poised for future challenges, with Ocloo emphasizing the importance of maintaining focus and adhering to their game plan.
The defeat marks Asante Kotoko’s fifth loss of the season, resulting in their drop from second to third place in the league standings.
Their next challenge awaits as they prepare to face Accra Lions on Wednesday in their upcoming game.
