Black Galaxies chairman Dr. Tony Aubynn has stated that replacements can be found for the Black Galaxies squad if some of the players move abroad.
Recently, Daniel Afriyie Barnieh has been liked with a move abroad, with a Norwegian club having placed a bid for his services.
Following the team’s qualification to the 2022 African Nations Championship at the expense of Nigeria, Aubynn revealed that if some players move abroad, there will be replacements.
“Ghana is blessed with abundant talents. We are only praying that some of these players can earn contracts outside and bring something back home for their families. Should that happen, it will have a negative impact on the team,” he told Akoma FM.
“But we know there are many equally talented players in Ghana. The coaches have been tasked to search round and fish out for other talents including those who will shine from the upcoming GPL season. This will help us find adequate cover for departed ones. So such departures could affect us but not that much.
Black Stars could be the ultimate beneficiaries of those who leave for greener pastures if they eventually succeed out there,” he concluded.
The Black Galaxies will appear in the CHAN tournament at Algeria in early 2023.
