Ghana coach Milovan Rajevac says he’s confident the Black Stars will go through to the next round of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations despite winless run at the tournament.
The four-time AFCON champions are without a win after two matches losing to Morocco and sharing spoils against Gabon respectively.
Ghana succumbed to a last-gasp equalizer as they drew 1-1 against the Panthers in a match Ghana needed to win to stand a good chance of progressing to the knockout stage.
Andre Ayew broke the deadlock of the match to put Ghana 1-0 early in the the first half but his strike was cancelled out by Gabon sub Jim Allevinah’s 88th-minute equaliser.
According to Ghana coach, the Black Stars still have the chances to make it out of the group.
“ Every match in this competition is very tough and it doesn’t matter who plays, it’s about team work. The most important thing is we still have the chance to qualify for the next stage.” he said at the post-match conference.
Ghana sit third after two matches with 1 point and will take on Comoros in their final group game on Tuesday.
