The Black Stars goalie suffered a finger injury on Saturday 12th Noveember, 2022 at his club Charlton just days before the start of the 2022 World Cup.
Wollacott was forced to pull out of the pre-game warmups due to the injury and will have a scan to determine its extent later on Saturday night.
Speaking to CharltonTV after the game Garner said: “He caught the end of his finger in the warm-up. He’ll get scanned as soon as we get back down to London. We’re hoping and praying that it is nothing because he’s due to fly out to the World Cup tomorrow."
The former Swindon Town Goalkeeper has established himself as Ghana’s number one goalkeeper going ahead to the competition and will be a big blow to Ghana if he misses out.
