Asante Kotoko head coach Karim Zito insists the club’s title ambitions remain intact despite being held to another draw in the Ghana Premier League.
The Porcupine Warriors picked up a point against FC Samartex on Sunday in their Matchday 11 clash at the Nsenkyire Sports Arena. The result leaves Kotoko fourth on the table with 20 points, just three behind league leaders Aduana FC.
“Apart from being first, no other position fits Asante Kotoko,” Zito said in his post-match interview.
“We are still chasing, and it is not too late. It only pains me when we draw at home, because then we must win away to balance the home results.”
Despite the draw, Kotoko remain the only unbeaten side in the league this season.
They now turn their attention to an outstanding fixture against Basake Holy Stars on November 26, before hosting Medeama SC in a crucial Matchday 12 encounter at the Baba Yara Stadium.
