Ghanaian and West Ham United midfielder, Kudus Mohammed, has expressed his team’s strong desire to clinch the Carabao Cup after a remarkable victory over Arsenal, propelling them into the quarterfinals of the competition.
West Ham delivered an impressive performance, securing a convincing 3-1 win over Arsenal in the Round of 16 of the EFL Cup.
The game saw Ben White inadvertently scoring an own goal just sixteen minutes into the match.
Kudus Mohammed showcased his skills by controlling a magnificent long pass from Morocco’s Nayef Aguerd and neatly slotting the ball into the bottom corner to double the lead in the 50th minute for the home team. Jarrod Bowen added the third and final goal for West Ham, with Arsenal’s captain Martin Ødegaard scoring a consolation goal for the visitors in the closing moments.
Kudus Mohammed has now scored in the Premier League, Europa League, and the EFL Cup since joining the East London club.
He expressed his excitement and set his sights on winning the Carabao Cup, saying, “From the start of the competition, we’ve been dreaming because winning a title is part of it. We don’t know who we’ll get, but we’ll take it one step at a time and game-by-game. This is a significant boost for the game coming up at the weekend.”
